Springbrook State School
Welcome to the Springbrook State School website, a valuable source of information for our school community. Springbrook State School is a small school situated in the Gold Coast Hinterland amongst World Heritage national park. The school is a wonderful place for children to play, develop and learn within a supportive classroom environment.
Hinterland Small School Carnival and Numinbah Valley Arts Council
Congratulations to all students involved in the Hinterland Small Schools Olympic Day held on Tuesday 4th September. This was an excellent day for students to participate in a non-competitive environment. All students displayed great sportsmanship throughout the day and it was a pleasure to work with the students.
On September 6th, Springbrook State School students travelled to Numinbah Valley State School for an Arts Council performance - Who Was Here First? Students learnt valuable information regarding indigenous perspectives. As part of the day, students also learnt about energy and reducing our environmental footprint.
Land Art
Our students at Springbrook State School have been trying their hand at Land Art. This is the concept of using natural pieces of the environment to create art work. The canvas for this art is also the natural habitat.
Students in our senior class have taken photos of their art works to show at the Gold Coast Show.

Coles and Woolworths Vouchers
Thank you to all students, families and community members for their kind donations of Coles and Woolworths shopping vouchers for Springbrook State School. Both of these programs have finished now and we are currently in the process of collating these to be sent off.
We hope to make some decisions soon about what to purchase for the school.
Absences
A reminder that all student absences need to be recorded by the school. This can be done by either a note or verbally to the class teacher.
